Carry Him Into the World

So the Papal Visit last January was pretty much the highlight of last month. It was all over social media, all over tv, all over newspapers, it was everywhere! My mom, my sister, and I didn’t watch anything else but coverage of the Pope Francis’ visit to Manila and Tacloban. We were also hoping to go to the mass at Quirino grandstand, but decided not to as it was raining and the weather was already affecting our health.

Even though I didn’t get to see the Holy Father in person, I still felt his presence during his visit.

I think out of all the major events that Pope Francis had, his encounter with the families was definitely my favorite. All the testimonies just touched my heart, and Pope Francis’ message to everyone who attended was just beautiful to hear.

Pope Francis talked about how important it was to have families come together all the time. He mentioned that there are so many things in the world today that continue to rip families apart. He mentioned that everyday, less families choose to include Jesus in their lives.

During the encounter with the families, he mentioned that it is important for everyone to never lose the capacity to dream. He said, “To dream how will your daughter or son be, it is not possible to have a family without such dreams. When you lose this capacity to dream, then you lose the capacity to love, and this energy to love is lost.”

I definitely do agree with what the Pope said during the encounter. I’m very very thankful that my parents have always taught me to dream with God’s best intentions at heart. I am thankful that they dedicate a lot of time for me and my sister. I’m thankful that God has blessed me with a family like the one I have. I am thankful and extremely blessed that I was raised in a God-fearing family, where I was taught to love unconditionally and to dream without thinking of the limits!
