It’s a dangerous business, going out of your door.
You step into the Road, and if you don’t keep your feet,
there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.
2014 just ended and we welcome a new year, 2015.
This year, I will be graduating from high school. Once I graduate, I’ll be going on a gap year before I go to college. I’ll be using my time off from school to develop my art skills, learn new things, and go on adventures!
I rather liked this quote I read recently from the Lord of the Rings, the book I am reading now. I think it would be my quote for the year! I’m not sure how my gap year is going to turn out, and it kind of scares me sometimes. It’ll definitely be a journey with lots of new memories!

I won’t be at the comforts of my home this time. Like it says in the first line, when I go off to college, I’ll be doing things all by myself. With that I’ll be learning a lot of life skills throughout the year! This will also be my opportunity to work on and dedicate myself to my craft, which is illustrating. I also hope to take up some art & animation classes so I get a headstart on the field I want to get into! I’m also hoping to get into some internships as well.

Once I step into the real world, I don’t know where it’s going to take me. This is why I have to keep my trust in the Lord, that He will bless me with a great year of learning and opportunity. When I go out into the world, I’ll be meeting different people with different world view from mine. I’ll have to learn how to stay true to what I believe in, because I don’t know where the other world views would lead me. I’ll have to keep my faith and stay true to who I am.
With that, I embark on a new adventure this year.
